PTE Academic stands for The Pearson Test of English Academic which is an English language test designed to assess the readiness of non-native English speakers to participate in a university-level English language instruction program. PTE Test Structure
PTE Academic assesses listening, reading, speaking and writing all via a computer in a single 3-hour test session. There will be three main parts to the test during the three-hour test session. The three main parts are speaking and writing (together), listening and reading. Twenty different question formats, ranging from multiple options through to essay writing and interpreting information is in these tests. Test scores are reported on the Global Scale of English which is a standardized numeric scale from 10 to 90 which can measure English language proficiency more accurately concerning the widely known set of levels recognized in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
